The Stand Alone agreement is for installation on only one PC. We would recommend that if more than one user requires access to the CD, that you network it. Networking Instructions can be found in your User Guide. If you are interested in Networking, please contact kompasshelpdesk@reedinfo.co.uk.

2. Can I network the EEKOD CD?

Yes, you can network the CD. There is a charge for networking which is dependent on the number of workstations and simultaneous users. If you are interested in Networking, please contact kompasshelpdesk@reedinfo.co.uk.

3. How do I install the EEKOD CD on a network?

Networking Instructions can be found in your User Guide. If you require any assistance with setting up the EEKOD CD on a network, please contact kompasshelpdesk@reedinfo.co.uk.

4. Do I need a server to network the EEKOD CD?

No, it is possible to network the CD on a peer-to-peer network, using a workstation as a nominated server. We suggest you contact kompasshelpdesk@reedinfo.co.uk if you wish to carry out this type of setup.

5. Can I use the EEKOD CD on a Wide Area Network (WAN)?

Yes, but this is not something recommended, unless your network data capacity is high enough. We suggest you contact us on kompasshelpdesk@reedinfo.co.uk if you wish to carry out this type of setup.

6. What are sim users?

Sim users are simultaneous users, meaning they can access the CD at the same time.

7. Can I install the EEKOD CD on my intranet?

No, Kompass CD's are installed onto a network, not an intranet.

8. Can I copy the whole EEKOD CD to my hard drive?

Yes, but it requires about 680MB of space and is therefore probably not recommended, other than on a network server.

9. Do I need the EEKOD CD in the drive when I am using Kompass?

Yes, all of the data stays on the CD, even if you choose "Full Installation" when installing the stand alone CD. It will take up about 25MB of space once installed. The only time you don't need the CD is if you are networking it and choose the option to copy the whole CD onto a network server.

10. Can I install the EEKOD CD onto Citrix Winframe?

Yes, you should be running Edition 1.8 (Service Pack 2) Feature Release 1 (or above). Click here to download instructions.

Please contact us on kompasshelpdesk@reedinfo.co.uk if you require any help with the installation.

To ensure we can provide our customers, with a complete support service, it is helpful for us to keep a record of when the CD is installed and by which company.
