1. You are not licenced to use this product across a network

Either the CD has recognised that you are running Kompass from a network drive, the drive letter normally used by the Gold CD has changed/can't be found or you have been unlocked incorrectly. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


2. Your licence is corrupt

Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


3. A data file specified in the ini file cannot be found

Either the CD is not in the drive or the drive letter normally used by the Gold CD has changed/can't be found.

4. Run Time Error 13 'Type mismatch'

This error can be attributed to certain regional settings.

5. Write Error 68 'Unable to Update User Information'

This error can usually be attributed to user or folder permissions or being unable to access the appropriate networked drives, when setting up a networked version of the Gold CD. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


6. Write Error 75 'Cannot Update Users'

This error can usually be attributed to user or folder permissions or being unable to access the appropriate networked drives, when setting up a networked version of the Gold CD. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


7. Run Time Error 76 'Path Not Found'

This error can usually be attributed being unable to access the appropriate networked drives, when setting up a networked version of the Gold CD. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


8. Error 103 'Unable to find setup.dll'

This error can be attributed to not copying all the files from the CD. This usually occurs if you are setting up a network version of the Gold CD and have copied the CD onto a network drive.

9. Run Time Error 380 'Invalid Property Value'

This error can usually be attributed to setting up a networked version of the Gold CD without having mapped drive letters, but use just the UNC pathname to access the CD (or CD image) or the server files folder. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


10. Run Time Error 429 'Active X Component Cannot Create Object'

This error can be attributed to the fact that the client setup.exe has not been run on that particular workstation. A shortcut has been created to access the Gold CD. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


11. Maximum Users Logged On

This error is usually the result of a client crashing whilst logged onto a networked version of the Gold CD and the security files become corrupt. Run the admin.exe and log all users off to rectify the problem or contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


12. A data file is corrupt (kom01.dat)

This error can be attributed to the CD-ROM drive, having a problem reading certain areas of the CD. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866


13. Cannot Find User ID

This error can be attributed to the Gold CD being setup as a network version and the user attempting to login using an invalid user ID.

14. Unexpected Error - Quitting

This error usually occurs if you are trying to install the Gold CD onto Windows 2000 and you are not logged on as an Administrator . To install the CD successfully, you must be logged on as an Administrator .


15. Error 115 'An error occurred during the move data process'

This error occurs when installing the CD and can usually be attributed to a problem reading a certain area on the CD. Please contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866

2. Network the Gold CD (peer to peer network)

There are various ways to setup a network version of the Gold CD on a peer to peer network. Therefore we suggest that you contact Kompass Technical Support on Tel: 01342 335866
